An opportunity has arisen to join the Homerton inpatient Speech and Language Therapy team working on the Graham Stroke Unit. The role offers the post holder the opportunity to develop their skills and experience managing a varied and complex inpatient stroke caseload within a supportive and dynamic MDT environment.
The post holder will have the opportunity to develop their existing skills in the management of acute dysphagia as well as delivering specialist rehabilitation for patients on the stroke units along with some medical outliers. There will also access to attend videofluroscopy clinics and gain experience working with patients with tracheostomy.
Band 6 staff working within Homerton will have numerous opportunities for project working, training and working with third sector service providers, supervision of students and junior members of staff.
You will be well supported in your new role with access to clinical supervision from experienced senior Speech & Language Therapists, as well as opportunities for peer support with other SLTs across different services. You will also be part of a wider SLT team at Homerton Hospital and be able to join in shared CPD, videofluroscopy clinics and the development of study days for multidisciplinary colleagues. All services strongly support continuing professional development.
